5th Annual Membership Academy and Kickoff Meeting
January 17, 2026

The 2026 UPMA Membership Academy training will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel Saturday, January 17, 2026.
A light breakfast will be available beginning at 7 AM. Lunch and all necessary materials will be also provided on Saturday. The training sessions will begin at 8:30 AM and are expected to conclude by 5 PM.

Hotel Reservations:
Contact the Hard Rock Hotel to book your hotel room. Mention that you are attending the 2026 UPMA Membership Academy. UPMA rates are available until December 19, 2025 or until the room block is sold out, whichever comes first.
Run of House rate: $209/night
The above rate does not include any applicable federal, state, municipal, or provincial taxes, fees or assessments, currently 10.5% Occupancy tax, 2.0% San Diego Tourism Marketing District assessment, plus State Tourism Fee of 0.46% per night

Guests making reservations must identify themselves as being with UPMA to receive the group rate. Reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. The Cancellation Policy is 48 hours prior to the arrival date to avoid a penalty charge of one night room and tax.

There is a $10 per day mandatory resort fee (discounted from $38 per day). The resort fee includes:

Parking:
Hotel offers guests staying in the UPMA block valet parking for overnight guests at $45 per day (discounted from $60 per day) with 24 hour in/out privileges.
Event Parking is $15 per car (discounted from $28 per car).
Parking rates may be subject to state and local taxes.
