September update

September 4, 2024

Greetings from your national office!

We hope and pray you all had an enjoyable and relaxing Labor Day holiday.    As some would say the is the “unofficial” end of summer; however, with our crazy climate throughout the world these days I am sure many of us will have many more days of summer like weather in the weeks to come.

Your UPMA organization just completed our 8th National Convention in Orlando, Florida last week.    We had over 960 members and guests who gathered at the Caribe Royale Resort and Convention Center for a week of learning and information gathering.   In addition, there were many opportunities for fun during the evenings and on the free day while we were there, as well.

The convention attendees had the opportunity to hear from and have questions answered by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy; Deputy Postmaster General and Chief Human Resources Officer Doug Tulino; along with the Chief Retail and Delivery Officer, Dr. Joshua Colin.    All three of these individuals covered topics that were important to the membership of UPMA, as well as the ongoing mission of the Postal Service.

The convention also included an opportunity on Sunday for officer training and on Monday and Wednesday afternoons there were a number of training sessions offered on topics related to our positions in the Postal Service, as well as enriching topics, as well.

If you have never attended a national convention, I would encourage you to make plans to attend our 9th Annual National Convention in Dallas, Texas next August 9th through the 15th.    The registration information can be found elsewhere on this website, along with information on making your hotel reservations.

If  you ever have questions on any topic, please feel free to reach out to us here at the national office (703-683-9027 or information@unitedpma.org) and we will get you an answer.
