As the new UPMA National President I welcome you to our website.Posted by Frank Augustosky on 11/06/18
Welcome to the national website of the United Postmasters and Managers of America (UPMA). The goal of this website is to offer you up to date information on items that are happening within the UPMA organization, as well as sharing updates on issues related to the United States Postal Service when they are released.
If you are interested in joining UPMA there are links on the website to do just that. All Postal Service employees are eligible to join UPMA. If you are an EAS employee, you will receive six months free membership upon signing an electronic, or hard copy PS Form 1187. For craft employees you are eligible to join as an Associate member which means you receive all the information that is available on the national and the local level including our UPMA Leader magazine which is published 10 times per year, as well as the publication that is produced by your local chapter at the state level. For associate members dues are only $2.31 per pay period.
My encouragement to you would be to visit the site on a regular basis to stay abreast of what is happening both in UPMA on the national level and chapter level. There are links to several chapter websites available if you click on the Contact Us tab and then click on Chapter President Contact information in the upper right-hand corner there is a link to Chapter websites and the links are there. In addition, on that page you will find the listing of all the Chapter Presidents along with a link next to there name that will take you to a listing of all the officers in that chapter.
Also, for our members we have an Education link that contains several instructional videos on items related to your career, your retirement and programs within the Postal Service. Once you join you will receive a membership card which will have your member number on it. You need that number – which is also located above your name on the mailing label of the UPMA Leader magazine – along with the first two letters of your last name to access the educational section of the website.
Again, thank you for visiting and if there is ever anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact the National Office. Our phone number is 703-683-9027.
Welcome to the website and I am here to serve you,
Daniel Heins, UPMA National President
