Senate Passes Bill to Reduce Opioid Transport Through International Mail

Last night, the Senate passed H.R. 6, the Opioid Crisis Response Act of 2018 that includes the so-called STOP Act, which strives to prevent the inbound transport of opioids through international mail, requires that electronic manifests be created for inbound U.S. mail shipments and would levy civil fines against the Postal Service for noncompliance. Congressional Resolution Opposing Postal Privatization Gains Steam

EEOC class action ruling re USPS Injured on the Job Employees

The U.S. Postal Service will soon have to make a payout to as many as 130,000 current and former employees as part of a class-action lawsuit, with an anti-discrimination oversight body finding the mailing agency created a program to rid its rolls of employees injured on the job under the guise of trying to accommodate them.
