Pay Schedule Increase
Posted by Frank Augustosky on 11/30/16
As you well known, we have been working without a pay package since the beginning of last year. Title 39 states that the management associations will enter a consultative process with Postal HQ once the largest union has ratified their contract. With the NALC assuming the position of being the largest union, our expected timeframe has been derailed. We were hopeful that we could have begun those talks prior to now and could have had a finalized package prior to the beginning of 2017; however, that is not going to happen. Considering the absence of a new pay package and following consultation with HQ the Postal Service has decided, pursuant to Title 39 US Code 1004, to increase the maximum salary range by two percent and the minimum salary by the same dollar amount.
